Partying & Nightlife

6 years 1 month ago

If there’s one thing Goa is more famous for than its exquisite seafood, it is its famous parties. From the Portuguese-influenced Carnival and street dances to the hippie jam sessions and more recently electronic dance music (EDM) festivals, Goa has a long tradition of being India’s party capital.
Schedules for December and January are chock-o-block, with December 24 to January 2 the most-awaited time of the year for India’s party animals and celebrities.
Some of Asia’s largest dance music festivals are hosted in Goa as nightclubs and event organizers work double time from October to February to fill the state with song, dance and festivities.
There’s much to choose from and you could go over your options several times without reaching a conclusion! The northern belt enjoys the musings of many electronic music exponents, Arambol remaining a favorite for international artists who return time and again with the latest mixes.
Even though things slow down a notch during the monsoon season, a ear to the ground and a few good friends in Goa can hand you directions to a little known party hidden away on a secluded beach front, an empty field or a deserted villa.
